Job Vacancies

As you would expect from an expanding company, we have periodic recruitment cycles for both support and management roles. We expect to continue to recruit for support workers for our new care homes in Somerset and North Somerset in 2008. However, other vacancies do arise from time to time, so do keep an eye on this page.

ACTIVE VACANCIES

Senior Support Workers

With our expansion plans for 2008 already up and running we now need to recruit Senior Support Workers.

Our seniors work with the teams in our homes so it is essential for you to have some knowledge and experience of working with autistic adults. NVQ 2 is essential, as is the commitment to achieving NVQ 3.

You will receive full induction and ongoing training, including our Management Development Programme.

Support Workers – Waking Nights

Our home at Berrow now needs an additional person for the waking night team. You will receive a full induction and ongoing training (this takes place at our Head Office in Weston super Mare) including NVQ in Health and Social Care. Contracted hours are for 3 nights per week starting at 7.45 p.m. (36 hours)

As a waking night support worker you are responsible for the home with 7 service users. There will be a sleeping in member of staff for additional support if needed. Duties will include evening and morning routines with the service users and light domestic duties during the night, including some important health and safety checks. Rates of pay start from £8.43 per hour.

We will be recruiting Support Workers for Stafford Lodge, our fourth care home, opening in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, in June 2008. If you would like to register your interest in being considered for these posts please get in touch using the form below.

The role of a support worker involves helping service users in all areas that they require assistance. Most of our service users need to be supported when outside the home taking part in activities. Some of our service users also require assistance with personal care ensuring a good level of hygiene; this is another important part of the support worker’s role.

If you feel that you have the right skills and attitude and like what you have read, then please fill in the form below. If there are no active vacancies, we will hold your details on file until such time as a vacancy becomes available, when we will forward an application pack to you.

Experience is beneficial but not necessarily required.

International applicants please note: As we are a UK-based company, we are unable to assist with enquiries from applicants not normally resident in the UK.
